Without much press or discussion, the Senate just passed S. 10 A bill to provide for the consideration of a definition of anti-Semitism for the enforcement of Federal antidiscrimination laws concerning education programs or Anti-Semitism Awareness Act of 2016. It goes to the House next. The vote was by Unanimous Consent so no record of individual votes was made. If it passes the house it will be sent to the White House for Obama’s signature. Quite a sneaky move for the lame duck Senate.
This could be a VERY ominous sign for America and the Arab, non-Jewish people of the middle east. The #AntiSemitismAwarenessAct should be called the #NoCriticismOfIsraelAct since that is the purpose.
While Israel commits slow genocide in Palestine with the land given to them by the British nobility following the 1917 Balfour Declaration, we will be unable to stop the massacre, we will be unable to speak out against Israel for fear of losing our jobs, being arrested, being ostracized, being mislabeled as an anti-semite.

Instead of combating the right-wing antisemitism on the rise in the wake of the election, the problematic “Anti-Semitism Awareness Act” takes aim at campus activism for Palestinian rights by codifying criticism of Israel as anti-Semitic.
The Intercept writes:
THE SPECTER OF a growing far-right nationalism anywhere, but particularly in Central Europe, immediately — and for good and obvious reasons — raises fears of an anti-Semitism revival. But at least thus far, the leaders of most of these nationalistic parties — increasingly inspired and fueled by one another’s success — have showcased dangerous animosity toward Muslims, accompanied by strong policy support for Israel and a rhetorical repudiation of anti-Semitism.
In the video below, Senator Scott Speaks on Senate Floor about the need for an #AntiSemitismAwarenessAct.
